At the close of the trading session, domestic indices experienced a sharp decline, affected by losses in consumer durables, capital goods, power, and FMCG stocks. The BSE Sensex plunged 1.11 per cent to 71,139 level at the close. The Nifty 50 index slumped 0.99 per cent to a level of 21,522.

Tata Investment Corporation Ltd: Shares experienced a tenfold surge in trading volume, reaching the 20 per cent upper circuit and hitting a 52-week high of Rs 5,799.40 on the BSE. The non-banking financial company primarily specializes in investing in a diverse portfolio of assets, including equity shares, debt securities, mutual funds, and various financial instruments across a broad range of industries.
Prime Focus Ltd: Shares soared 20 per cent, reaching a new 52-week high of Rs 138 on the BSE. The company is involved in post-production activities, providing services such as digital intermediate, visual effects, 2D to 3D conversion, and various technical and creative services to the media and entertainment industry.
Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd: Shares, having hit the 20 per cent upper circuit the day before, surged 15 per cent today, extending the ongoing rally. The company is primarily involved in the production of pumps and motors, providing advanced water pumping solutions for applications including irrigation, horticulture, domestic water supply, as well as commercial and industrial uses.
