The domestic equity barometers continued trading with respectable gains on September 8. S&P BSE Sensex rallied 587 points and trades at a level of 59,627.02. Similarly, Nifty 50 index climbed 158 points and is now valued at 17,783.25 points.
S&P BSE Smallcap index, however, increased 177 points and is currently trading at 29,475.93. The Top Gainers of the index include Arvind Smartspaces, WIM Plast, Kirloskar Oil Engines, JK Lakshmi Cement, and Future Consumer.
The following Small-Cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Friday, September 9, 2022:
Lemon Tree: The company has signed a licence agreement for a 64-room hotel in Erode (Tamil Nadu) under its brand, ‘Lemon Tree Hotels’. The hotel is expected to be operational by December 2023. The shares of Lemon Tree rose more than 2 per cent and are trading at a price of Rs 76.85 per share. A spurt in the volume of over 1.01 times was seen in the past three trading sessions.
Schneider Electric Infrastructure: The shares of Schneider Electric Infrastructure jumped more than 17 per cent on September 8 to reach a price of Rs 167.10 per share. A surge in trading volume was also witnessed today. The surge was seen as the board of directors considered & approved enhancing the production capacity of vacuum interrupters and vacuum circuit breakers by setting up a manufacturing unit in Kolkata.
Pennar Industries: The shares of Pennar Industries gained nearly 4 per cent and made a new 52-week high of Rs 50.10 per share. This came after the company received orders totaling Rs 511 crore from all its business sectors like steel, tubes, and railways.
52-week high stocks: Ador Welding, Aster DM Healthcare, Automotive Axles, Data Patterns (India), and Grindwell Norton.
