On Tuesday, Indian equity markets managed to close on a positive note in the green territory. Nifty 50 and Sensex recorded gains of 0.38 per cent and 0.45 per cent to end at 16,340.5 and 54,767.6.
BSE Smallcap index outperformed broader markets by climbing 0.88 per cent to close at 26,367.49. Top Gainers of the index include GE Power India, Omaxe, Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores, Valiant Organics and Rossell India. Top Losers comprise Techno Electric & Engineering, Sadbhav Engineering, Greenply Industries and Control Print.

Sterlite Technologies - The company has announced a deal with one of India’s leading telecom operators. Pursuant to this arrangement, the company seeks to fulfil the telecom operator’s requirement for setting up a high-performance and modern communication network in India. With this multi-year deal worth Rs 250 crore, the company aims to provide specialised optical fibres and deployment services to build the service provider’s network across nine telecom circles.
Arvind Ltd – Logistics technology platform Shiprocket has announced the acquisition of Arvind's omnichannel technology business - Omuni. The transaction will be carried out as a combination of stock and cash for a total consideration of Rs 200 crore. The combination of both entities will facilitate quick, efficient deliveries of shipments from the nearest store or warehouse, significantly reducing delivery timelines and enhancing customer experience.
Kirloskar Pneumatic - The company has announced its financial results for Q1FY23. The total income stood at Rs 274 crore, registering about 60 per cent growth on a YoY basis. Profit after tax improved to 5.9 per cent of the total income and stood at Rs 16.2 crore in Q1 FY22. The company continued to execute well on its planned sales based on a strong order bank.
