On Thursday, Indian equity markets broke its 4-day losing streak to close in the green territory with healthy gains. Nifty 50 and Sensex climbed ~0.75 per cent each, ending the session at 16,478.10 and 55,320.28 respectively.
BSE Smallcap index relatively underperformed broader markets, registering gains of 0.24 per cent to close at 26,039.27. Top Gainers of the index include PNB Housing Finance, Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra), BLS International, Gallantt Metal and Navkar Corporation. Top Losers comprise Swan Energy, Stylam Industries, Jagran Prakashan, RattanIndia Enterprises and Jindal Poly Films.
Counters of Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) and Computer Age Management Services (CAMS) witnessed heavy influx of buyers and rallied ~6 per cent each.
