The key equity indices continued to trade with moderate gains on September 19. S&P BSE Sensex closed at the level of 59,202.55, after surging 361 points. Nifty 50 index also jumped 102 points, reaching 17,633.20 points.
On the other hand, S&P BSE Smallcap index dropped mere 54 points and trades at 29,152.99. The top gainers of the index include Transformers & Rectifiers (India), Power Mech Projects, Meghmani Finechem, India Cements, and Dish TV India.
The following small-cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Tuesday, September 20, 2022:
PSP Projects: The company announced that it has been awarded work orders worth Rs 167.35 crore (excluding GST) in industrial, precast, and residential segments. It includes major order to construct Phase 2 of Noodle Factory from the company’s regular client. With the receipt of the above orders, the total order inflow for the financial year 2022-23 to date amounts to Rs 1,511.58 crore.
Hercules Hoists: The company marked the upper circuit after soaring 20 per cent. The shares of Hercules Hoists reached Rs 217.05 per share after touching the upper circuit and making a new 52-week high on September 19. It outperformed its sector by zooming 19.76 per cent today. The company recorded the highest net profit of Rs 30.96 crore in June quarter. The PBT also rocketed 68.9 per cent in the same quarter.
Triveni Engineering & Industries: The shares of Triveni Engineering touched the upper circuit in today's trading session after surging 20 per cent. At the time of the market closing, it was trading at Rs 294.35 per share. The stock outperformed its sectors by 12.05 per cent after the gain. The company delivered its highest net sales in June quarter of Rs 1,225.67 crore.
Deep Industries: The shares of Deep Industries made a new 52-week high on September 19 after climbing over 13 per cent today. The shares of Deep Industries reached a price of Rs 291 per share. The rise was seen as a result of a spurt in trading volume of more than 15.17 times. It jumped nearly 21 per cent in the past four trading sessions. The profit after tax showed exponential growth of 139.74 per cent on a YoY basis.
52-week high stocks: Aether Industries, Alicon Castalloy, Bharat Dynamics, Campus Activewear, and Data Patterns (India).
