Stocks to watch: These small-cap stocks will be in focus on Monday!

Avro India, Vaxtex Cotfab, Kohinoor Foods, Kanani Industries, and Madhya Bharat Agro Products made a fresh 52-week high today

On Thursday, domestic equity markets witnessed heavy selling on the back of weak global cues. Nifty 50 and Sensex plunged ~2.20 per cent each to end the session at 15,808 and 52,930.31 respectively.  

BSE Smallcap index also closed in the red territory at 24,995.51 with losses of 1.96 per cent. Top Gainers of the index include KRBL, Man Industries, Skipper, Indo Count Industries, Privi Speciality Chemical and Avanti Feeds. Top Losers comprise Venus Remedies, Techno Electric & Engineering, AGI Greenpac, Ariental Aromatics and Birla Tyres. 


The following small-cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Friday, May 13, 2022:    

Zim Laboratories – The company has announced that AEPMS, a Spanish agency for medicine & healthcare products, has granted marketing authorisation for its innovative product ‘Sildenafil 50 mg’ ODS in Spain to its wholly-owned European subsidiary - SIA ZIM Laboratories Limited.    

Premier Explosives - The company has signed a contract with the Ministry of Defence (Army) in New Delhi on May 11, 2022, for the supply of NFM i.e. new family of munitions for a total value of Rs 44.58 crore (including GST), to be delivered within twenty-four months from the effective date of the contract. The production of these items will be done from its facility at Katepally (Telangana).    

Kalpataru Power Transmission – The company, along with its subsidiaries, has secured new orders worth approximately Rs 4,474 crore at a consolidated level.    

JMC Projects (India) – The company has secured new orders of Rs 2,348 crore (including orders of approximately Rs 155 crore received in the month of March 2022). The details are as follows:   

  • Water supply projects in India of Rs 2,193 crore.   
  • B&F projects in India of Rs 155 crore.  

52-week high stocks – Avro India, Vaxtex Cotfab, Kohinoor Foods, Kanani Industries, and Madhya Bharat Agro Products made a fresh 52-week high today.
