Stocks to watch: These small-cap stocks will be in focus on Monday!

Kritika Wires, De Nora India, Kanani Industries, Vaxtex Cotfab, GSS Infotech, Indian Card Clothing Company, Industrial Investment Trust, and Agro Phos India made a fresh 52-week high today.

On Friday, the domestic equity markets were dominated by bears on account of negative global cues. Nifty 50, as well as Sensex, closed the session at 16,411.30 and 54,835.58 levels, down by 1.63 per cent & 1.56 per cent, respectively.      

BSE Smallcap index underperformed the broader markets by tanking 2.10 per cent on the last trading session of the week to close at 27,092.41. The Top Gainers of the index include Asian Granito, CSB Bank, Vardhman Textiles, Prozone Intu Properties, and Hindustan Foods. The Top Losers comprise Techno Electric & Engineering, Cupid, DCM Shriram, Dynamatic Technologies, and Angel One.       

The following small-cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Monday, May 9, 2022:    

SJVN - The company has bagged its first-ever 30 MW wind-solar hybrid project through a tender floated by Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECT). The project was bagged at Rs 2.54 per unit on a build, own, and operate basis in the tariff-based competitive bidding process. The tentative cost for the construction & development of the project is Rs 195 crore. The project is expected to generate 79 MUs in the first year while on a cumulative basis, approximately 1,860 MUs would be generated over a period of 25 years. 

GOCL Corporation – Singareni Collieries Company has a fresh order on IDL Explosives Limited (IDLEL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, to be supplied over a period of two years i.e., from May 2022 to May 2024 by IDLEL. The order, worth approximately Rs 415 crore, is for the supply of explosives and accessories.  

Ratnamani Metals & Tubes - The company has received new domestic orders, aggregating to Rs 206 crore, to be executed within FY 2022-23. 

52-week high stocks – Kritika Wires, De Nora India, Kanani Industries, Vaxtex Cotfab, GSS Infotech, Indian Card Clothing Company, Industrial Investment Trust, and Agro Phos India made a fresh 52-week high today.
