On Friday, the Indian equity markets broke their two-day winning streak. Nifty 50 and Sensex closed in the red territory at 17,172 & 57,197.15 levels, respectively, down by approximately 1.25 per cent each.
BSE Smallcap index also underperformed the broader markets, closing at 29,247.98, down by 0.38 per cent. The Top Gainers of the index include Sterlite Technologies, Borosil Renewables, Schneider Electric Infrastructure, Shree Renuka Sugars, and Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing. Meanwhile, the Top Losers comprise Birla Tyres, Future Lifestyle Fashions, Rallis India, Polycab India, and Ashapura Minechem.

Zen Technologies – The company has signed an annual maintenance contract worth around Rs 55 crore for simulators for a period of five years. As of date, the company's total order book stands at Rs 477.04 crore.
Insecticides India - The Patent Office (Government of India) has granted the company a patent for an invention entitled Novel Miticidal Benzylamides for a term of 20 years from the date of filing i.e. July 18, 2016.
Pearl Global Industries – The company has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary in Hong Kong namely, Pearl Global (HK) Limited has acquired 9,00,860 equity shares, representing 52.11 per cent equity capital of Bangladesh-based Alpha Clothing Limited for a consideration of USD 1.05 million. This acquisition will be funded through internal accruals.
Hazoor Multi Projects – The company has received a letter from Gayatri Projects Ltd for the completion of balance work on EPC mode for package -11 from 502.698 km to 521.600 km, section village Dhotre to Kokamthan junction, Ahmednagar district.
