The Indian benchmark indices ended the session sharply lower, owing primarily to steep losses in the auto sector. Consumer durables and real estate stocks were also heavily sold. The BSE Sensex tumbled 0.90 per cent to 59,806 level at the close. The Nifty 50 index plunged 0.93 per cent to a level of 17,589.

GR Infraprojects Ltd - The company announced that it has emerged as L‐1 bidder for the tender invited by National Highways Authority of India for construction of 6‐laneGreenfield Varanasi‐Ranchi‐Kolkata Highway from Anarbansalea village to Sagrampur village, worth Rs 1,248.4 crore. Shares ended the session more than 2 per cent higher.
HFCL Ltd - The company announced that it has entered into a Partner Network Agreement with Microsoft to develop integrated private 5G solutions that harnesses new-age technologies to transform industry verticals such as manufacturing, retail, mining, education, defence, railways, smart cities and so on.
