Stocks in high demand: Top three Group A stocks that surged in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 471.52 points or 0.79 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index was trading at the level of 59,579.43, signifying a loss of 354.58 points or 0.59 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals got hammered by 0.9 per cent, power weakened by 0.2 per cent while auto slipped 0.15 per cent.
Meanwhile, Paisalo Digital, Tata Metaliks, and IFB Industries emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Paisalo Digital Ltd, an S&P BSE Smallcap company, surged 5.28 per cent to trade at Rs 74.80 apiece. This rally comes ahead of the company's ex-dividend date, which is on September 22, 2022. The quantum of the dividend stands at Re 1 per equity share, representing 100 per cent of the face value.
Tata Metaliks Ltd, another S&P BSE Smallcap company, rallied 3.11 per cent to trade at Rs 837.50 apiece. On Thursday, the company inaugurated Phase-I of its expansion project of the Ductile Iron (DI) Pipe Plant at Kharagpur (West Bengal). This expansion project worth Rs 600 crore will take the company’s Ductile Iron Pipe Plant capacity to over 4 lakh tonnes per annum in two phases.
IFB Industries Ltd, an S&P BSE Smallcap 500 company, climbed 3.01 per cent to trade at Rs 1,073.70 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in its share price could be driven purely by market forces.
