Stocks in high demand: Top three Group A stocks that surged in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 342.73 points or 0.58 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further weakened to 58,788.65, signifying a loss of 408.34 points or 0.69 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals got hammered by 0.8 per cent, power was trading flat while auto slipped 0.5 per cent.
Meanwhile, CG Power & Industrial Solutions, Somany Ceramics, and Pokarna Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. None of these companies have made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by the market forces.
CG Power & Industrial Solutions Ltd surged 3.13 per cent to trade at Rs 222.45 apiece.
Somany Ceramics Ltd, an S&P BSE Smallcap company rallied 2.82 per cent to trade at Rs 642.75 apiece.
Pokarna Ltd, another S&P BSE Smallcap company, climbed 2.75 per cent to trade at Rs 564.40 apiece.
