Stocks below Rs 100: Only buyers seen in these scrips on September 16

The FIIs sold equity worth Rs 1,270.68 crore on Thursday (September 15) while the DIIs bought equity for a net worth of Rs 928.86 crore.    

  At 12.30 pm on Friday, the headline equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading lower by a per cent as the markets seem to accommodate the upcoming rate hike by US Federal Reserve amongst recession fears.  

Sensex is trading at 59,235.83, down by 698.18 points or 1.16 per cent while Nifty 50 is at 17,666.75, down by 213.50 points or 1.19 per cent. Meanwhile, Nifty Bank index is at the 41,038.15 level, down by 0.42 per cent.

The Top Gainers in Nifty 50 pack are IndusInd Bank, Cipla, Sun Pharmaceuticals, Titan Company, and SBI Life Insurance Company. Meanwhile, the stocks pulling down the index include Tata Consumer Products, Hero MotoCorp, Tech Mahindra, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Grasim Industries.   

BSE Smallcap index is trading at 29,595.09, lower by 1.06 per cent. The top gainers in the pack were McLeod Russel India (19.87 per cent), Tata Steel Long Products (12.94 per cent), Mishra Dhatu Nigam (11.67 per cent), Elantas Beck India (10 per cent), and Bharat Dynamics (9.50 per cent).  

On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in the red with BSE IT and BSE Auto, followed by BSE Realty & BSE Metal.
