Stocks below Rs 100: Only buyers seen in these scrips on March 30

At 12.45 pm on Wednesday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex & Nifty 50 were trading on the higher side amidst positive global cues and also, due to a drop in the crude oil prices. Besides, the US market was trading in the green for the fourth consecutive day.

Investors breathed a sigh of relief as the peace talks between Russia and Ukraine turned fruitful as the Russian troops have scaled back their operations in the capital city of Kyiv. 

Sensex was at 58,550.17, up by 606.52 points or 1.05 per cent while Nifty was at 17,475.65, up by 160 points or 0.91 per cent from the last trading session.             

On BSE, 2,300 shares have advanced and 980 shares declined whereas, 116 shares are unchanged.      

The top five gainers in Nifty 50 pack are Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance, Axis Bank, Maruti Suzuki, and HDFC Limited. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index are Tata Steel, Tech Mahindra, ITC, Sun Pharmaceuticals, and NTPC.   

BSE Smallcap index is trading at 28,196.18, up by 1.33 per cent. The top five gainers are Centrum Capital, Gayatri Projects, Sadbhav Engineering, Raymond, and Subex. Each of these stocks gained more than 13 per cent. Similarly, the top five stocks pulling the index down include Dhanvarsha Finvest, GFL, Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys, Goldiam International, and Supreme Petrochem. 

Looking at the sectoral indices on BSE, only BSE Realty, BSE Finance, BSE Auto, and BSE IT were the top-performing sectors whereas BSE Metal and BSE Oil & gas were dragging the broader index down in the afternoon session.
