Stocks below Rs 100: Only buyers seen in these scrips on March 16

At 11.15 am on Wednesday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading higher amidst the mixed global cues, as the Nasdaq was up by almost 3 per cent in the last trading session

At 11.15 am on Wednesday, the core equity indices Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading higher amidst the mixed global cues, as the Nasdaq was up by almost 3 per cent in the last trading session.  

Also, the global markets are keenly following gold and crude oil prices, as the Federal Open Market Committee finally meet today, (March 16, 2022) to announce the rate hike, which the whole world is anticipating for the past few months. 

Owing to these developments, the Sensex was at 56,556.27 up by 779.42 points or 1.40 per cent, while Nifty was at 16,892.00, up by 229 points or 1.37 per cent from the last trading session.   

On the BSE, 2,276 shares have advanced, 931 shares declined, whereas 118 shares are unchanged.            

The top gainers in the Nifty 50 pack are Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank, UltraTech Cement, JSW Steel, Bajaj Finserv, and HDFC Ltd. Meanwhile, the stocks pulling down the index are Cipla, Sun Pharmaceuticals, and Tata Consumer Products. 

BSE Smallcap index is trading at 27,324.02, up by 1.35 per cent. The top five gainers are Sagar Cements, Kirloskar Ferrous Industries, Venus Remedies, Huhtamaki India, and Bharat Dynamics. Each of these stocks gained more than 12 per cent. Similarly, the top five stocks pulling the index down include BGR Energy, Future Enterprises DVR, Urja Global, Vikas Lifecare, and Saregama India. 

All the sectoral indices on the BSE were trading in the green territory with BSE Realty, BSE Finance, BSE Metal, and BSE Consumer Durables leading with a majority.

Following is the list of low-priced stocks that made a fresh 52-week high on Wednesday. Keep a close eye on these counters for the upcoming sessions.
