Stocks below Rs 100: Only buyers seen in these scrips on July 19

The FIIs bought equity worth Rs 156.08 crore on Monday (July 18) while the DIIs bought equity worth Rs 844.33 crore.   

At 11.30 am on Tuesday, the headline equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50 are seen extending gains from the last trading session.  

The US markets were seen reversing the earlier rally as earnings season continued in earnest.  

Dow Jones index fell 215.65 points whereas S&P 500 and the tech-heavy Nasdaq also ended lower by 0.84 per cent & 0.81 per cent, respectively.  

The shares in Asia-Pacific markets are mixed as the markets are still assimilating the Minutes by Australia’s Central Bank. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index dropped 1.15 per cent while Mainland China markets also ended on a lower note. Shanghai Composite shed 0.29 per cent while Shenzhen Component slipped 0.64 per cent. 

Sensex was at 54,592.63, up by 71.48 points or 0.13 per cent whereas Nifty 50 was trading at 16,292.70, up by 14.20 points or 1.03 per cent. Nifty Bank also climbed 0.48 per cent and is seen trading at the 35,526.95 level.  

The FIIs bought equity worth Rs 156.08 crore on Monday (July 18) while the DIIs bought equity worth Rs 844.33 crore.   

The Top Gainers in Nifty 50 pack are Coal India, Bharti Airtel, Axis Bank, UltraTech Cement, and Tata Steel. Meanwhile, the Top Losers pulling down the index are Nestle India, SBI Life Insurance Company, HDFC Life Insurance Company, HCL Technologies, Infosys, and Tata Motors.  

BSE Smallcap index is trading at 26,233.15, up by 0.37 per cent. The top gainers in the pack were GE Power India, Manorama Industries, Repco Home Finance, GE Shipping, and PTC Industries. Each of these stocks gained more than 10 per cent. Similarly, the top losers were Techno Electric & Engineering, Alok Industries, Renaissance Global, Edelweiss, and Sadbhav Engineering.    

On the sectoral front, only BSE Realty and BSE PSU were leading on the bourses.
