Stocks attracting fund managers in January 2022

Month of January 2022 saw financial and information technology as favourite sectors among domestic fund managers.

In the month of January 2022, financial and information technology was the sector where most of the investment was attracted by domestic fund managers. These two sectors were on the top of the fund managers’ buying list.

The above table shows that in the month of January 2022, among large cap, mutual funds preferred the financial sector including banks. In the top ten, there are five companies from the financial sector including some of the largest names in the industry. The total approximate buying done in the financial sector in large cap in these five stocks is around Rs 7752 crore in January 2022.  

 The trend is not different for Midcap stocks. Even among mid-cap fund managers financials remain favourite of mutual funds. Four companies in the top 10 are from the financial sector.
