Skipper reports PAT jump of 31 per cent in Q3FY18
Skipper reported its results for the quarter ended December 31, 2017 on Tuesday. Its consolidated revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 566.4 crore , registering 24.3 per cent yoy increase. This was primarily driven by 28.5 per cent yoy jump in Engineering product segment.
EBITDA for the quarter rose by 26.8 per cent yoy to Rs. 74 crore with a corresponding margin expansion of 26 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 13.1 per cent. The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs. 29.199 crore , yoy increase of 31.5 per cent.
The company has secured new orders worth Rs. 525 crores in its Engineering Products segment from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL). It has also bagged orders from neighbouring countries including Nepal and Bangladesh.
Skipper is one of the leading companies in the Power Transmission & Distribution and the PVC pipes segment. With over 35 years of domain knowledge, it is largest in India and stands 10th globally on the basis of its manufacturing capacity.
On Tuesday, the stock opened at Rs. 225 per share and touched an intra-day high and low of Rs. 237 and Rs. 223, respectively, on the BSE.
