Siemens bags Rs. 579 crore order from Gujarat Metro
Indian mass-transit operator Metro Link Express for Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad (MEGA) Company has awarded an order of around Rs 579 crore to Siemens India and Siemens AG, Germany. The order is for carrying out electrification of 39.2-kilometre Metro Express in Ahmedabad.
The company will be also responsible for complete electrification of the new double track metro line and SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) system for monitoring and controlling the traction power.
The management alluded that the company is also executing electrification projects for six metro cities in India. The company will continue to partner with the government for the metro connectivity.
