Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on October 16
The broader markets were in the mixed territory, with the BSE Mid-cap Index down 0.10 per cent and the BSE Small-cap Index up 0.31 per cent.
The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading in the red on Wednesday with the Sensex down 0.39 per cent at 81,501 and the Nifty-50 down 0.34 per cent at 24,971. About 2,024 shares have advanced, 1,938 shares have declined and 106 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.
The broader markets were in the mixed territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 0.10 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.31 per cent.The top mid-cap gainers were Endurance Technologies Ltd, Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd and Tube Investments of India Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are K&R Rail Engineering Ltd, IFB Industries Ltd and Precision Camshafts Ltd.
On the sectoral front, the indices were trading mixed with the BSE Realty Index and BSE Energy Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Information Technology Index and BSE Teck Index were the Top Losers.
BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 4.63 lakh crore or USD 5.51 trillion as of October 16, 2024. On the same day, 262 stocks hit a 52-week high while 32 stocks touched a 52-week low.
