Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on May 09

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading in red on Thursday with the Sensex down 1.45 per cent at 72,404, and the Nifty-50 down 1.55 per cent at 21,958.

About 924 shares have advanced, 2,910 have declined and 109 were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 75,124.80 on April 09, 2024, and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 22,794.70 on May 03, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 2.01 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 2.41 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were TVS Motor Company Ltd, UNO Minda Ltd and Macrotech Developers Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are BCL Industries Ltd, Tata Investment Corporation Ltd and ADF Foods Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were trading in mixed with the BSE Auto Index being the only top gainer while the BSE Oil & Gas Index and BSE Energy Index were the Top Losers.

BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 393 lakh crore or USD 4.74 trillion as of May 09, 2024. On the same day, 160 stocks hit a 52-week high while 45 stocks touched a 52-week low.
