At 10:47 IST, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, was down 649 points or 1.12 per cent to 57,340. The Nifty 50 index lost 190 points or 1.11 per cent to 16,909. In the broader market, the S&P BSE Mid-Cap index fell 1.31 per cent while the S&P BSE Small-Cap index slipped 0.97 per cent.
Today's top gainer stocks on BSE are Hindustan Unilever limited. While the Top Losers were Bajaj Finserv, Tata Motors, Bajaj Finance and State Bank of India. The Top Gainers on the NSE platform are BPCL, Dr. Reddy Laboratories, Divis Laboratories and ONGC, whereas the top losers are HDFC Life Insurance, Hindalco Industries and Adani Enterprises.
