On Thursday at 01:00 pm, the benchmark Indian indices were trading lower with the BSE Sensex Index down 0.54 per cent at a level of 59,092.69 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index down 0.39 per cent at 17,382.60. About 1,707 shares have advanced, 1,622 declined and 137 are unchanged on BSE.
The broader market indices were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.09 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.11 per cent, respectively.
Top trending stocks on BSE today are Rail Vikas Nigam, RITES, Quess Corp, IRCON International, Gujarat Pipavat Port, Great Eastern Shipping Co, Easy Trip Planners, Equitas Small Finance Bank, Adani Wilmar, NHPC, Macrotech Developers, Sonata Software, Tiaan Consumers and OTCO International.
According to the finance ministry, the government received Rs 1.50 lakh crore in GST revenue in February. In comparison to February of last year, the GST collections are up 12 per cent. For 12 consecutive months, GST collections have surpassed the Rs 1.4 lakh crore mark.
