Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on January 24!
Shares of Route Mobile Ltd, the top BSE Smallcap gainer, soared almost 10 per cent, keeping small-cap bulls active.
Overnight, Wall Street indices continued to rise, with the Nasdaq Composite Index surging more than 2 per cent on the strength of technology stocks. Majority of Asian indices were also gaining. Indian benchmark indices gained at the start of the session, mostly due to boosts in technology stocks but eventually declined to trade flat.
BSE Realty and BSE Telecommunications both fell more than 1 per cent and experienced selling pressure. With 1,549 shares rising and 1,806 falling on the BSE, the advance-decline ratio remained in favour of declines, while broader indices underperformed main indices.

At 12:45 pm, the BSE Sensex gained 0.12 per cent, reaching a level of 61,012. The Nifty 50 index edged up by 0.05 per cent to the 18,127 level. On the Sensex, Tata Motors, HCL Technologies and HDFC Bank were the Top Gainers, whereas Axis Bank, Power Grid Corporation of India and Bharti Airtel were the Top Losers.
