Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on January 20
The market capitalization of BSE-listed companies was Rs 3,74,62,575 crore or approx. Rs 375 lakh crore as of January 20, 2024.
The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading positively on Saturday with the Sensex up 0.36 per cent at 71,424 and the Nifty-50 down 0.23 per cent at 21,572. About 2,058 shares have advanced, 1,756 have declined and 94 were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 73,427.59 and the NSE Nifty-50 made a new 52-week high of 22,124.15 on January 16, 2024.
The broader markets were in positive territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.46 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.41 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd, SJVN Ltd and NHPC Ltd. In contrast, Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd, Rites Ltd, IRCON Ltd and RailTel Corporation Ltd were the top small-cap gainers.
On the sectoral front, the indices were trading mixed with the BSE Utilities Index and BSE Fast Moving Consumer Goods Index being the Top Gainers.
The market capitalization of BSE-listed companies was Rs 3,74,62,575 crore or approx. Rs 375 lakh crore as of January 20, 2024. On the same day, 473 stocks hit a 52-week high while 9 stocks touched a 52-week low.
