Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on January 09
The market capitalization of BSE-listed companies was Rs 3,67,84,515 crore or approx. Rs 368 lakh crore as of January 09, 2024.
The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading positively on Tuesday with the Sensex up 0.04 per cent at 71,386 and the Nifty-50 up 0.18 per cent at 21,552. About 2,244 shares have advanced, 1,575 have declined and 116 were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 72,561.91 and the NSE Nifty-50 made a new 52-week high of 21,834.35 on January 01, 2024.
The broader markets were in positive territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.07 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.38 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were JSW Energy Ltd, Solar Industries Ltd and Trent Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Praveg Ltd, PNB Gilts Ltd and Ashoka Buildcon Ltd.
On the sectoral front, the indices were trading mixed with the BSE Realty Index being the Top Gainers and the BSE Bankex Index being the Top Losers.
The market capitalization of BSE-listed companies was Rs 3,67,84,515 crore or approx. Rs 368 lakh crore as of January 09, 2024. On the same day, 461 stocks hit a 52-week high while 7 stocks touched a 52-week low.
