Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on January 08
The market capitalization of BSE-listed companies was Rs 3,66,61,925 crore or approx. Rs 367 lakh crore as of January 08, 2024.
The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading negatively on Monday with the Sensex down 0.22 per cent at 71,355 and the Nifty-50 down 0.91 per cent at 21,513. About 1,929 shares have advanced, 2,043 have declined and 102 were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 72,561.91 and the NSE Nifty-50 made a new 52-week high of 21,834.35 on January 01, 2024.
The broader markets were in negative territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 0.87 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.36 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Godrej Industries Ltd, GMR Airport Infrastructure Ltd and Macrotech Developers Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Sula Wine Yards Ltd, Vikas Lifecare Ltd and Trident Ltd.
On the sectoral front, the indices were trading mixed with the BSE Services Index being the Top Gainers and the BSE FMCG Index being the Top Losers.
The market capitalization of BSE-listed companies was Rs 3,66,61,925 crore or approx. Rs 367 lakh crore as of January 08, 2024. On the same day, 493 stocks hit a 52-week high while 12 stocks touched a 52-week low.
