Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on January 04
The market capitalization of BSE-listed companies was Rs 3,68,43,187 crore or approx. Rs 368 lakh crore as of January 04, 2024.
The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading positively on Thursday with the Sensex down 0.69 per cent at 71,848 and the Nifty-50 up 0.66 per cent at 21,659. About 2,568 shares have advanced, 1,262 have declined and 111 were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 72,561.91 and the NSE Nifty-50 made a new 52-week high of 21,834.35 on January 01, 2024.
The broader markets were in positive territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 1.49 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 1.04 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Macrotech Developers Ltd, Torrent Power Ltd and Vodafone Idea Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Vikas Lifecare Ltd, DCM Shriram Ltd and Reliance Power Ltd.
On the sectoral front, the indices were trading mixed with the BSE Realty Index being the Top Gainers and the BSE Auto Index being the Top Losers.
The market capitalization of BSE-listed companies was Rs 3,68,43,187 crore or approx. Rs 368 lakh crore as of January 04, 2024. On the same day, 480 stocks hit a 52-week high while 11 stocks touched a 52-week low.
