Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on January 03
The market capitalization of BSE-listed companies was Rs 3,65,09,345 crore or approx. Rs 365 lakh crore as of January 03, 2024.
The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading negatively on Wednesday with the Sensex down 0.75 per cent at 71,357 and the Nifty-50 down 0.69 per cent at 21,517. About 2,194 shares have advanced, 1,643 have declined and 108 were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 72,561.91 and the NSE Nifty-50 made a new 52-week high of 21,834.35 on January 01, 2024.
The broader markets were in positive territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.20 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.30 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Biocon Ltd, Canara Bank and GMR Airports Infrastructure Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were SUN PHARMA ADVANCED RESEARCH COMPANY LTD (SPARC), S Chand and Company Ltd and NBCC (India) Ltd.
On the sectoral front, the indices were trading mixed with the BSE Utilities Index being the Top Gainers and the BSE Information Technology Index being the Top Losers.
The market capitalization of BSE-listed companies was Rs 3,65,09,345 crore or approx. Rs 365 lakh crore as of January 03, 2024. On the same day, 390 stocks hit a 52-week high while 23 stocks touched a 52-week low.
