Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on February 29
BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 388 lakh crore or USD 4.74 trillion as of February 29, 2024.
The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading positive on Thursday with the Sensex up 0.27 per cent at 72,500 and the Nifty-50 up 0.14 per cent at 22,983. About 1,947 shares have advanced, 1,841 have declined and 120 were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 73,427.59 on January 16, 2024, and the NSE Nifty-50 made a new 52-week high of 22,297.50 on February 26, 2024.
The broader markets were in positive territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.84 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.50 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Castrol India Ltd, REC Ltd and SJVN Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are Paisalo Digital Ltd, Newgen Software Ltd and GMR Power and Urban Infra Ltd.
On the sectoral front, the indices were trading in positive with the BSE Services Index and BSE Power Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Healthcare Index was the only loser.
BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 388 lakh crore or USD 4.74 trillion as of February 29, 2024. On the same day, 203 stocks hit a 52-week high while 49 stocks touched a 52-week low.
