The top Sensex gainers were Titan India Ltd, Bajaj Finserv Ltd and Bajaj Finance Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Tata Steel Ltd, ITC Ltd and Tech Mahindra Ltd.
The broader market indices were trading lower, with the BSE Mid-cap Index falling 0.83 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index falling 0.75 per cent, respectively.
On February 2, foreign institutional investors (FII) net-sold shares worth Rs 3,065.35 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DII) bought shares worth Rs 2,371.36 crore.
