Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on December 14!
Shares of Andrew Yule & Company, the top BSE Smallcap gainer, rocketed over 19 per cent and reached new 52-week high, keeping small-cap bulls busy.
The Wall Street indices climbed overnight as a result of US CPI data that allayed fears about further interest rate hikes. Indian domestic indices started the day higher, following upbeat global cues.
Except for the BSE Energy and BSE Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), almost all sectors gained. With gains of about 1.5 per cent, BSE Metals and BSE Realty were the best performing sectors. Today, banking stocks, particularly Yes Bank, UCO Bank and Punjab National Bank, had the most stock turnover on the BSE.
At 3:30 pm, the BSE Sensex advanced 0.23 per cent, reaching a level of 62,677. The Nifty 50 index gained 0.28 per cent to the 18,660 level. On the Sensex, Tech Mahindra, Tata Steel and NTPC Ltd were the Top Gainers, whereas Nestle India, ICICI Bank and Bharti Airtel were the Top Losers.

Shares tumbled today, dropping more than 60 per cent so far this year.
