Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on August 16
BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 4.52 lakh crore or USD 5.38 trillion as of August 16, 2024.
The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading in the red on Friday with the Sensex up 1.68 per cent at 80,437, and the Nifty-50 up 1.65 per cent at 24,541. About 2,462 shares have advanced, 1,467 shares have declined and 107 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 82,129.49 on August 01, 2024, and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 25,078.30 on August 01, 2024.
The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 1.80 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 1.70 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Piramal Enterprises Ltd Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd and Nippon Life India Asset Management Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are Uflex Ltd, Jindal Poly Films Ltd and Suprajit Engineering Ltd
On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in green with the BSE Realty Index, BSE Teck Index and BSE Information Technology Index being the Top Gainers which surged over 2 per cent each.
BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 4.52 lakh crore or USD 5.38 trillion as of August 16, 2024. On the same day, 202 stocks hit a 52-week high while 46 stocks touched a 52-week low.
