Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on April 16

BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 394 lakh crore or USD 4.72 trillion as of April 16, 2024.

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading negative on Monday with the Sensex down 0.62 per cent at 72,944, and the Nifty-50 down 0.56 per cent at 22,148. About 2,251 shares have advanced, 1,567 have declined and 115 were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 75,124.80 on April 09, 2024, and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 22,768.40 on April 09, 2024.

The broader markets were in green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.05 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.57 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Exide Industries Ltd, SJVN Ltd and Patanjali Foods Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are VA Tech Wabag Ltd, Bhageria Industries Ltd and Marksans Pharma Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were trading in mixed with BSE Oil & Gas Index and BSE Energy Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Information Technology Index and BSE Teck Index were the Top Losers.

BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 394 lakh crore or USD 4.72 trillion as of April 16, 2024. On the same day, 170 stocks hit a 52-week high while 17 stocks touched a 52-week low.
