Sensex is in red but these 3 BSE small-cap stocks jumped by more than 6 per cent today!

These stocks from S&P BSE 250 SmallCap space were trading in the green after strong demand from buyers.

The benchmark index S&P BSE 250 SmallCap Index opened at 3,992.77, and made its day high at 4,008.20 and trading in red down by more than 0.30 per cent.        

 From the same space, these are the top 3 companies that outperformed the benchmark index and were up by more than 6 per cent today.         

Shares of Engineers India Limited were trading up by more than 6.5 per cent on BSE today. The scrip closed on Thursday at Rs 91.58 and opened on Friday at Rs 91.66 a piece. Shares touched their 52-week high today at Rs 101.45 after the surge. The 52-week high of the stock stood at Rs 101.45, whereas the 52-week low is Rs 55.45. Presently, the promoters are holding around 51.32 per cent stake whereas the institutional and non-institutional holdings are 23.77 per cent and 24.90 per cent, respectively.

 Another top player today is Hitachi Energy India Limited. Shares were trading up by more than 6 per cent on BSE during the day. The stock opened today at Rs 3,470.05 a piece and touched its day high today at Rs 3,755.70. The 52-week high of Hitachi Energy India Limited is at Rs 3,913.50, whereas the 52-week low stood at Rs 2,750.60. The promoters are holding around 75 per cent stake in the company, whereas the institutional and non-institutional holdings are 12.69 per cent and 12.31 per cent, respectively.         

One more top gainer today which shot up by 6.10 per cent is RITES Limited. The stock opened at Rs 396.10 and touched its day high at Rs 427.45. On Thursday, the shares closed at Rs 395.80 a piece. The stock has a 52-week high of Rs 433.20, whereas the 52-week low stood at Rs 226.05. Currently, the promoters are holding about 72.20 per cent stake in the company, whereas the institutional and non-institutional holdings are 19.26 per cent and 8.53 per cent, respectively.
