Rolls-Royce enters into strategic partnership with Infosys for aerospace engineering in India
Rolls-Royce, being one of the major world leaders in aerospace & defense technology, joined hands with the IT giant Infosys, which has deep knowledge in turbomachinery for sourcing engineering and R&D services for the civil aerospace business of Rolls-Royce.
The two companies have been valuable partners to date and the alliance is further expected to strengthen their ties.
Rolls-Royce, having revenue of £ 15.45, has its operations in more than 150 countries. It is planning for expansion in India as it finds this country to be quite attractive. A huge cheque to Infosys is on its way leading to the generation of increased profits.
Infosys is a market leader in next-generation digital services & consulting, with almost four decades of experience and presence in more than 46 countries. Both parties would gain from this strategic partnership, which would enable them to expand further.
On Wednesday, the stock of Infosys closed at Rs 1,142, with a 0.36 per cent incline from its previous close. Infosys registered a day's low of Rs 1,121 and a high of Rs 1147. The benchmark, BSE Sensex closed at 44,618, down by 37 points, or 0.084 per cent decline from its Tuesday’s close.
