Rama Steel Tubes announces capacity expansion at its Khopoli plant
This capacity expansion will be undertaken to the extent of approximately 30,000 MTPA and is expected to be completed by end of the fourth quarter of FY22, that is, March 2022.
Rama Steel Tubes Ltd, a domestic company engaged in the manufacturing of Steel Pipes & Tubes and G l Pipes announced this afternoon that it has commenced the process of capacity expansion at its Khopoli (Maharashtra) plant.
This capacity expansion will be undertaken to the extent of approximately 30,000 MTPA and is expected to be completed by end of the fourth quarter of FY22, that is, March 2022. The commercial production shall begin shortly thereafter.
The company has undertaken this capacity expansion to fulfil the needs of infra, automobile and solar sectors and expand its current product portfolio of SKUs to include Special Grade Structural Steel and High Thickness Tubes. This project shall require a capex of approximately Rs 10 crore which shall be procured from the company’s internal accruals.
At 3.21 pm, the share price of Rama Steel Tubes Ltd was trading at Rs 238.65, which was a decline of 8.33 per cent from the previous day’s closing price of Rs 260.35 on BSE. As of December 24, 2021, the company’s stock has a 52-week high of Rs 294.80 and a 52-week low of Rs 41.30 on BSE.
