RailTel Corporation zooms nearly 7 per cent on getting order worth Rs 153 crore
RailTel Corporation of India today announced that it has received a work order amounting to Rs 153.15 crore from Central Coalfields Limited, for the establishment of MPLS-VPN network of higher bandwidth on a rental basis for 5 years.
Reacting to this, the company’s stock today increased by 8.23 per cent and made an intraday high of Rs 141.30 per share at 9.43 am.
Recently, the company has been assigned the work of Rs 105.82 crore by the Ministry of Railways. It has also received advance purchase order amounting to Rs 25.46 crore per annum from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) for commissioning of point-to-point links.
RailTel Corporation of India is an information & communications technology infrastructure provider and also, one of the largest neutral telecom infrastructure providers in India. As of January 31, 2021, RailTel’s optic fibre network covers 59,098 route kilometres and 5,929 railway stations across multiple towns & cities in India. Recently, the company raised Rs 819 crore (approx.) via IPO.
According to BSE data, the stock has a 52-week high and a 52-week low of Rs 189.45 and Rs 104.60, respectively.
At 2.52 pm on Monday, the company’s stock was trading at Rs 139.45, up by 6.82 per cent on BSE.
