Q1FY21 results: Dishman Carbogen Amics records net loss of Rs 21.43 crore

Dishman Carbogen Amics Limited, a manufacturer of API, announced its quarterly results on September 8, 2020. The company posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 21.43 crore for Q1FY21, which    declined by 162.46 per cent YoY, as compared to Q1FY20 when it reported consolidated net profit of Rs 34.31 crore.                                                                                                                                                    

The consolidated net sales reported in Q1FY21 came in at Rs 474.41 crore, which declined by 9.1 per cent YoY from Rs 521.9 crore in Q1FY20. At EBITDA level, the company stood at Rs 43.01 crore in Q1FY21 that decreased by 63.98 per cent YoY. For Q1FY20, it posted an EBITDA of Rs 119.42 crore.

EBITDA margin as of Q1FY21 was at 9.07 per cent that declined by 13.81 per cent YoY. The net profit margin in Q1FY21 came in at negative 4.52 per cent, which declined by 11.09 per cent YoY. The net profit margin in Q1FY20 was at 6.57 per cent.               

The performance in Q1FY21 was affected lockdown to curb the unprecedented spread of coronavirus , however it is expected to normalize during upcoming quarters due to resumption of business operations on the back of unlocking of economy.                                                                           

Around 1:30 pm, the share slide 4.99 per cent and is trading at Rs 169.4 on BSE.
