The markets on September 04, 2018 opened up. BSE Sensex is trading at 38,374.10, up by 61.58 points and the Nifty is trading at 11,588.45, up by 6.10 points. 

India's market regulator has re-issued a circular asking for Know Your Client (KYC) compliance from Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs). The move is aimed at curbing money laundering, especially ahead of 2019 general election.

The shares of Ashok Leyland climbed up more than 4 per cent intraday and closed at Rs. 133.40 per share, up by 3.21 per cent after the company announced its sales figures. The company’s sales increased by 27 per cent to 17,386 units YoY. Meanwhile, Tata Motors closed in red, down by 0.15 per cent at Rs. 266.70, despite reporting good sales numbers.
