The markets on February 28 opened down. BSE Sensex is trading at 34,178.34, down by 168.05 points and the Nifty is trading at 10,494.90, down by 59.40 points.

International credit rating agency Moody's Investors Service on Wednesday prognosticated Indian Economy to grow at 7.6 per cent in the ongoing calendar year and at 7.5 per cent next year in 2019.

Lower beta determines the lower volatility with respect to the market as well as higher alpha gives us an indication of higher performance against the respective benchmark. 

The assets of distressed cement maker Binani Cement are expected to be bought by an investor group lead by Dalmia Bharat and backed by Bain Capital. The group has offered 20 per cent stakes to the lenders of Binani Cement who have dragged the company to the insolvency court.

Overall volumes in futures & options currently stand at 61.22 lakh contracts with a turnover of Rs. 5,55,470.88 crore.
