The markets on April 13, 2018 opened up. BSE Sensex is trading at 34,284.90, up by 183.77 points and the Nifty is trading at 10,504.55, up by 45.90 points. 

GMR Group will invest Rs. 1,000 crore in developing the planned aerospace and defence manufacturing hub at Special Investment Region, in Hosur, which is situated in Tamil Nadu's Krishnagiri district.

In the Union Budget 2018, Government of India reintroduced the Long term capital gain (LTCG) tax on the equity investments. From April 1, 2018, investors need to pay 10 per cent of LTCG on transfer of equity mutual funds having exposure of 65 per cent or more in equity or equity-related instruments.

China’s trade surplus with the United States rose 19.4 per cent YoY in the first quarter to US$58.25 billion, showed data released by China’s custom department. China’s exports to the US rose 14.8 per cent YoY, while imports grew 8.9 per cent YoY.
