The benchmark index BSE Sensex surprised in the last leg of trading on Tuesday with a 268 point jump. Sensex closed at 38,363.47, up by 268.40 points or 0.70 per cent and Nifty 50 closed at 11,532.40, up by 70.20 points or 0.61 per cent.

The stock of Kaveri Seeds jumped nearly 3 per on Tuesday as the company commenced corn cob drying facility in Telangana. The facility has a capacity of drying 1455 Mt corn cobs per cycle across 36 bins.
