The markets on March 18, 2019 opened gap up. BSE Sensex is trading at 38,004.71, down by 19.61 points and the Nifty is trading at 11,431.00, up by 4.15 points. 

Shares of Bandhan Bank and Gruh Finance fell in early trade on Monday after receiving approval from the Reserve Bank of India for the amalgamation of Gruh Finance. Bandhan bank received the 'No Objection' from the RBI for the proposed scheme of amalgamation with GRUH Finance, the bank informed the exchanges post-market on Friday.

Ashoka Buildcon informed that the company has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited for rural electrification project. The project amounted to Rs. 169.22 crore.

Jet Airways has grounded operations at Abu Dhabi Airport since Monday due to operational reasons. Jet Airways has a debt of Rs. 8,200 crore and needs to repay Rs. 1,700 crore by the end of March. The company is servicing its domestic debt but has already defaulted on an ECB payment.
