The markets on April 11, 2019 opened gap down. BSE Sensex is trading at 38,558.43, down by 26.92 points and the Nifty is trading at 11,576.35, down by 7.95 points. 

One of the leading welded pipeline manufacturers, Welspun Corp Limited informed that it received a global additional order for the pipeline, after market hours on Wednesday.

The shares of Vedanta slipped more than 2 per cent in Thursday’s morning trading session. This was on account of the possibility of a legal suit against the company’s subsidiary, Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) in the UK.

Larsen & Toubro Limited is all set to acquire L&T Shipbuilding Limited. The target company has a turnover of Rs. 73,088.79 lakh. It also has a negative networth of Rs. 80,914.97 lakh as on March 31, 2018.

The stock of newly state-owned firm listed at its issue price of Rs. 19 per share. In the morning session, the company traded at a market capitalisation of Rs. 3,982.39 crore on Thursday.
