The markets on July 6, 2018 opened up. BSE Sensex is trading at 35,766.87, up by 192.32 points and the Nifty is trading at 10,803.75, up by 54.00 points. 

Ceat Tyres signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the government of Tamil Nadu to set-up tyre manufacturing company worth Rs. 4,000 crore at Maduramangalam village near the industrial hub of Kancheepuram.

Healthcare service provider and pharmacy operator, Apollo Hospitals has acquired 50 per cent stake in Medics International Lifesciences for consideration of Rs. 91 crore through primary issuance of shares by the latter. Medics operates a hospital in Lucknow which is a 330-bed super speciality hospital project.

Trade war fears have shredded significant gains made by investors across global indices. The Asian markets were the worst hit, with Chinese indices losing the most.

Welspun Enterprises Limited has secured an order for road project from National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) for four-laning from Sattanathapuram to Nagapattinam in the State of Tamil Nadu under the NHDP Phase-IV on Hybrid Annuity Mode.
