The government appointed Shaktikanta Das as the new governor of the Reserve Bank of India for three years, making him the 25^th RBI chief. The decision was made 24 hours after Urjit Patel’s unforeseen resignation. The swift decision is a mark of the government’s resolve to combat uncertainty.

After registering a 52-week high, the stock is consistently falling along with relatively low volume and making a series of lower lows. Currently, the stock has reached near its multiple support zone of Rs. 200-Rs. 190 and it is likely to give a bounce from the current levels in the coming weeks. 

The stocks most likely to witness significant movement on the bourses on December 12 are Unichem Laboratories, Shalby, Palred Technologies, SBI and Music Broadcast.

The Indian benchmark indices closed with gains despite experiencing volatile trade on Tuesday. Yes Bank was the top gainers on both the benchmarks Sensex and Nifty. Broader markets also participated in the rally with Mid-cap and Small-cap indices gaining more than 1 per cent.
