Markets seem to be excited by the fact that the Election Commission has declared the dates for the Lok Sabha Elections 2019, which would be conducted in seven phases from April 11 through May 19. The BSE Sensex was at 36,988.68, up by 317.25 points, while Nifty50 was at 11,138.80, up 103.40 points, the highest level since the beginning of 2019.

Going ahead, the zone of 10,980-10,990 is a crucial support level for the index, while on the way up, it is important for the Nifty to first pierce the resistance of 11,090. Stocks in news: Dilip Buildcon, Cipla, Suven Life Sciences, GMR Infrastructure, Mangalam Cement, Nitesh Estate and OIL.

The Indian markets are likely to experience Monday morning blues as, at the time of writing, the SGX Nifty indicated that Nifty may open to open modestly lower by 13 points at 11,045.
