The markets on April 04, 2019 opened flat. BSE Sensex is trading at 38,865.83, down by 11.29 points and the Nifty is trading at 11,640.15, down by 3.80 points. 

The Reserve Bank of India and the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) during its first bi-month monetary policy meeting on Thursday cut the benchmark repo rate by 25 basis points (bps) to 6.00 per cent.

Godrej Properties has entered into a joint venture (JV) with a renowned developer to build a 4.25 acres sea-facing property in the prime suburban micro-market of Bandra West, Mumbai. The shares of the company rose 2 per cent in the morning session on Thursday.

Reliance Industries’ subsidiary Reliance Jio Digital Services (RJDSL) has entered into a business transfer agreement with Haptik InfoTech, India’s leading conversational Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform. The transaction size is estimated to be Rs. 700 crore with Rs. 230 crore as consideration for the initial business transfer and the balance for growth and expansion. The acquisition will result in Reliance holding 87 per cent of the business and Haptik founders and employees holding the remaining 13 per cent via stock option grants.

Good IPO offering days are back. Leading cable and electric goods manufacturer Polycab India's Initial public offering (IPO) opens on Friday, April 5, 2019. The IPO consists offer for sale of up to 1,75,82,000 equity shares and a fresh issue to raise Rs. 400 crore.
