The infrastructure theme has enriched returns of the investors in the last one year till January 15, 2018. Around 18 infrastructure schemes which have completed 3 years have given an average return of 42.5 per cent. But post Union budget, the market volatility has dragged the returns of these schemes. These funds bled like nothing in the past 2 months which has turned the cumulative 3 months returns of these schemes red.

Divergence of the fund from its investment style is known as the style drift. 

Being a mutual fund investor, there are many things one has to look upon before committing funds. One of them being the overall performance of fund houses or Asset Management Companies.

As per the data from AMFI, since December 2017, the inflows to balanced funds have reduced by Rs. 4,730 crore, till February 2018. 

After a huge run up in the last couple of years, the Indian markets are now in correction mode post the Union Budget 2018-19. This correction has led many stocks to give negative return year till date and have eaten into the returns of the investors.
