The broader market saw gains, with the Nifty Mid-Cap closing significantly higher by 0.81 per cent, reaching a record high of 53,880.50, and the Nifty Small-Cap rising by 0.55 per cent to an all-time high of 17,665.55.
Market volatility, indicated by India VIX, substantially declined by 9.96 per cent, reflecting decreased market volatility.
Among individual stocks, ONGC, L&T, and Adani Ports were the Top Gainers, whereas Kotak Bank, Divi’s Laboratories, and Asian Paints were the Top Losers.
Overall, 2,415 stocks advanced compared to 1,457 that declined, indicating positive sentiment in the broader market.

Incorporated in 2010, Essar Shipping Ltd is in the business of fleet operating and chartering activities and operates in international and coastal voyages.
GTL Infrastructure - A solid price volume breakout was seen at the counter today as the stock rallied and got locked at 10 per cent upper circuit to record an intraday high of Rs 2.05 per share on NSE. Incorporated in 2004, GTL Infrastructure is in the business of providing Shared Passive Telecom Infrastructure in India.
